I offered my services as a Patient Representative on Peer Review. It helps to make sure that the hospitals are being run as they should and policies and procedures (yes I know that they make more work, but at the end of the day, it helps us patients get better care) are correct and adhered to.

In fact I love doing this as I know it's helping others at the same time. If you get the chance to do this, then give it a go. You will be amazed at the dedication and amazing things these people do to care for us all.

remembering 9/11 and never forget

Who can believe it is 10 years since 9/11. I sure can't!

I can remember it as if it was yesterday (now I can't remember what happened yesterday normally so this is a big thing for me to remember!). It's an awful thing to remember and everyone who was affected by it is in our thoughts today and always.

Even now watching the programmes on TV it's hard to believe it is real sometimes. You can't imagine something like that happening can you. Several times I watched things with a red face (no tears for me as usual!) and feeling so sad for everyone.

I had a email from some FDNY Firefighters and it sure brings it home to you the things that were asked of those men and women.

Keep strong and enjoy life. You never know when it's going to be cut short.

ouch!

Yes, I've done something to my back. I thought it was my side, but my Brother tells me it's my back. I've been using Ralgex (I love the smell of that stuff) during the day and night and have to be patient with it and hope that it will ease with time.

I can barely move but am trying to keep moving so I don't seize up totally!

ouch again!

This time my leg is playing up. It seems so achy and sore (my bad leg) but I've just upped my painkillers and if it doesn't go I'll see the GP.

I know Auntie Rita won't see this, but it's her 80th Birthday which is quite special so it needs an annoucement about it!
