Lisa and I went to the career transition workshop, she collected me early - it was just like waiting for the ambulance and going off to London for an appointment. We had a really good chat on the way about life, the universe and everything. It's always good to talk to someone who understands what you've gone through.

Although the workshop tired me out totally, I did learn a lot from it and have now re-written my CV using the new methods learnt and I must admit it does look a lot better and is easier to read. I've had a couple of other people check it over and they say it is excellent. I'm not boasting - I'm just pleased my brain still work!!! LOL!

I asked about seeing a specialist for the Lymphoedema, but my Doc said he will only prescribe diuretics first then see how they go, so that's what he did to save time. You have to time the taking of them just right, if you are going out for an appointment anywhere forget it, unless you know where their toilets are ahead of time!! What a nightmare. Now I know how others feel who take them. Still the swelling has reduced a bit so it's worth it. Just got to find out about the redness and soreness now. How do you deal with that? I'm going to the Lymphoedema Clinic in August so they should be able to tell me, I hope!

I had a couple of appointments arrive in the post for London. One at the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital and one at the Middlesex (my normal one!). I feel quite at home in the Middlesex and know it inside out now (or it seems that way anyway!).

John has been going to the hospital for physio - it's painful but he needs to do it for his own benefit. He's also had his tablets reduced, although it makes him moody sometimes it needs to be done so that he can go on this drug trial. We're all keeping our fingers crossed!!!

Oh yes, nothing exciting but I've just got a new electric toothbrush, comparing the old one to this is like a Robin Reliant to a Ferrari!! That's the hightlight of my spending spree at the moment.

John has been ill - we think it's his new tablets doing it - hope he is OK to go to the hospital next week. It seems like we are taking it in turns being ill. Makes a change instead of me!

Went into town on the bus today. The local church was having a book sale on and you know what a bookworm I am, so we stopped and got a couple of books each, helping to raise funds. When we've read them we pass them on to the charity shop, so they make money. Good idea for recycling too!

Whilst there we had a lovely coffee/tea - how can they sell them for 30p/cup and the likes of Costas and Starbucks charge £1.75+ for them - you can see who is making BIG bucks there!!!

Had a nice treat whilst out, I got my nails done with nail art, all hand designed. Very cheap at only £5 and he said they should stay on for three weeks, will have to see about that, but as others get charged £12.50 for a plain manicure that I know of I thought it was worth it. It's ages since I've had my nails done. I'll try to get a photo of them for the album! LOL!!

I've been doing some more updates to the FM site and have been working away behind the scenes on some new sections for you all. I hope you like them, perhaps you could let me know if you think they are helpful.
