My physiotherapy was done by a lovely lady called Sue Gaastra who did all sorts of things to improve my leg pain, from stretching and ultrasound, to putting a strap around it and jumping on it. (Later on this was a big cause of concern to me as you will see!). Although it was easier, it was still extremely painful and I had major problems with steps and stairs. We then had a walk down stairs to see how I was walking. At this stage Sue was concerned that my foot was pointing outwards but my knee was pointing inwards. No comments about knock-knees as I've already heard them all now! My Doctor then referred me to an "Orthopedic and Trauma Specialist" at the Woking Nuffield Hospital called Mr Kevin Newman. |
