Shhhhh! Get involved in The Big Hush.

Macmillan Cancer Support's annual sponsored silence, The Big Hush, takes place on Friday 26th January. Join teachers and youth leaders across the UK and make silence golden as your pupils get sponsored for every minute they keep quiet. Or they can simply pay a small amount to take part in the event. Every penny they raise will help improve the lives of people affected by cancer. Last year 150,000 children took part in The Big Hush. This year we want to make it even bigger and we need your help! The silence can take place in assembly, during break-time or in class and you can involve single classes, small groups, or the whole school. As well as a step-by step guide on how to take part in The Big Hush, we'll give you a pack including activity sheets for the children to complete while they stay silent. After your event we'll send you a letter of thanks for the school and a special Big Hush eraser for every child who took part.
